About the publication

Research is a
practice.

Stern Capital Research is the editorial arm of Stern Capital Management, NYU Stern’s student-run hedge fund club. It gives members a place to develop, challenge, and communicate investment ideas through disciplined research.

Our aim is not to predict every market move. It is to make the research process visible: forming a question, gathering evidence, testing a thesis, identifying what could go wrong, and communicating conclusions with clarity.

01

Student produced

Every publication is authored and reviewed by students learning the craft.

02

Evidence led

We value primary sources, explicit assumptions, and falsifiable thinking.

03

Educational by design

All portfolios and investment discussions are simulated unless stated otherwise.

Our purpose

Learn in public.

Stern Capital Management is a student organization, not an investment adviser or asset manager for outside clients. This site is a learning environment for members to build analytical judgment, receive editorial feedback, and contribute useful educational materials to the student community.

Publication does not imply institutional endorsement. The views belong to the individual authors and may evolve as new information emerges. Readers should treat every article as a student exercise—not a solicitation, offer, or recommendation.
